Mapway launched on ORANGE World

Mobile mapping solutions provider m-spatial today announced that its Mapway View Map and Walking Directions services have gone live on Orange World in the UK.This latest service launch completes a remarkable three months for Cambridge-based m-spatial, which has seen its walking directions service also adopted by two other mobile operators. MapWay works on the majority of WAP-enabled phones and it is estimated that over 18 million customers now have access to Mapway in the UK.
The MapWay services turn a mobile phone into a comprehensive and interactive street map. Underpinned by a massive UK database of 20 million buildings, MapWay's 'made to measure mapping' provides uniquely simple and effective maps and walking directions by intelligently selecting for display the information most relevant to the user 'on the street'. By displaying real world features such as shops and businesses as well as roadnames, MapWay provides maps and graphical directions that not only work well on the small screens of mobile phones, but also provide much more detailed information than a typical street-map.
